BUSH SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT

I just got word through the AP that the voters in San Francisco will have the opportunity to rename their Sewage Plant this November. I know it’s across the country, but the proposal will make you laugh.

A measure seeking to commemorate President Bush's years in office by slapping his name on a San Francisco sewage plant has qualified for the November ballot
The plant is currently called the Oceanside Water Pollution Control Plant.

The ballot will create the title: The George W. Bush Sewage Plant.

According to the AP, Supporters say the idea is to commemorate the mess they claim Bush has left behind after 8 years of his administration. Don’t think it will go through without a fight…local Republicans say the plan stinks and they will oppose it.

I wonder if our sewer treatment plant (pictured above and left) here in Kingston deserves a new title? Im taking suggestions...

What an honer it would be to give an outgoing political leader(as in done, kaput see ya later)to have their name on such a wonderful building in our city as a symbol of what they did for our city and it's residents. How many letters do you think can be placed on the building?

I would not object to naming Kingston's transfer station in honor of our Mayor. They could call it "Dump Sottile".

We could have a marque' that displays infamous polititions names on rotation.

The list could be topped with whomever permitted Urban Renewal in the Rondout.

How about naming them all Federal Emergency Core Emmissions Strategy.
FECES would be a new dept similar to Fema. Headed up by wealthy donors and lobbyists from both parties who like the throw their weight {S**T} around...smitty

You know the long list of candidates for the plant naming would include most of the "good ol boys club" that have helped stagnate the economic growth of this area for decades.

Todd, Spada, Gallo, Amarillo, Savego, Sottile, the list goes on.
As opportunities pass us by, we could add to the list every year.

Imagine every city with a Sewage plant could follow this trend and we could include these sites as a tourist attraction.

Didn't Spada, Oliveri, Aaron and Zweben get free sewage hookups for their Linderman Avenue Twin Ponds development and Flatbush Ave, Smith Ave projects?

And then most of the Comm Develop $ go to Linderman sewer pipes stressed by Twin Ponds?
