Meanwhile, the ConservaDem from Tennessee hopped in his helicopter and made the journey to New York to challenge Kirsten in a Democratic primary. After a brief fluster in the press, and making a tour of the wealthiest homes in the state, Harold Ford has decided he doesn't have the support he thought he would.
As of Monday morning, Harold Ford told the Washington Post: "I've examined this race in every possible way, and I keep returning to the same fundamental conclusion: If I run, the likely result would be a brutal and highly negative Democratic primary -- a primary where the winner emerges weakened and the Republican strengthened. I refuse to do anything that would help Republicans win a Senate seat in New York, and give the Senate majority to the Republicans."
Note to Harold: I think you would do much better in Kansas.

Good Riddens to this Tax Dodger. The first question should be why he is not being audited by the New York State Tax Department?
He used an address in Tennessee to avoid paying taxes on his income from Merrill Lynch (Tennessee doesnt have a state income tax so he would be saving about 10% of his income).
Remember Derek Jeter had to pay a fine due to discrepancies about how he allocated income between New York City and Tampa,Florida addresses. This is also how Dennis Koslowski got caught when he was trying to ship a painting that he bought in New Hampshire and did not pay New York State Sales Tax.
I am calling for an investigation of Harold Ford!!!
He saved himself even further embarrassment. This "pre-campaign" made him look like an idiot who lied about everything from taking the subway, to his always being pro-choice despite their being video of him repeatedly saying the opposite.
He would say he was for samesex marriage despite having been one of the only Democrats to vote to place a Constitutional ban on it, he said he felt like a real New Yorker because he paid taxes here which was a lie.
He is entitled to his views on anything, but he should peddle them to likeminded voters, not lie to voters who are diametrically opposed to those views.
