KINGSTON GOP PICKS ANDI

As reported: The City of Kingston Republican committee nominated first-time Alderwoman Andi Turco-Levin  Monday night to be their candidate for the mayoral election in November.

As the new fresh face for the Republican Party, Andi has plenty of work to do to reshape the image of the local GOP. It would be my assumption that those who support her intend to do just that.

The majority of the committee chose Turco-Levin over former Alderman Richard Cahill Jr., current Alderman Ronald Polacco, R-Ward 6, and former Kingston School Board President Jean Jacobs.

Best of luck to Andi and the rest of the ticket. With the potential for Primaries as evident as they are, she may face a September date just like the rest of us. Will it be Rich, Jean, Ron or someone we haven't heard of yet, we don't know until petitions are submitted. Enjoy your victory Andi. The summer of electioneering is yet ahead.

Way to go Andi! Between you and Hayes, we'll have a choice in either party that has no ties to the city like Cahill and Gallo. Perfect.

Hey You, Clement has no chance to winning this one, so dream on , and that includes andi turc to.

Andi was born and raised in Kingston. She is older than Cahill so she has as many if not more, ties to Kingston than he does.

6:25: tsk, tsk, tsk Such a deluded individual. Andi has the stamina and know how to move Kingston and its citizens out of its doldrums. Go Andi!

What kind of justification is that because Turco-Levin is older than Cahill Jr 7:33 pm? Did you see her resume? She left the area and came back only a few short years ago because why? Get a grip.

She is not electable city wide. She only won the republican first ward by several votes against a no name who did not really campaignvirpe.

What none of you understand is both Andi and Rich would beat Hayes. Jean and Ron couldn't do it. All republicans can agree, we don't want Shayne. We can't afford a Democrat in the Mayor's office another four years!

7:41 Your comment shows how desperate the Dems were to have someone go against Andi. Couldn't stand the thought that she was extremely qualified and you had no one to run against her. So you pulled a no name out of your hat.One who probably had no desire to do the job shown by her lack of campaigning. The proof is in the pudding as Andi has been an advocate for a lot of the wards, not just her own.

Cahill, Gallo, and Levin all left the area for a short time. Clement has only been voting in Kingston for 2 years.

Choice is simple this year. Lets see if a republican Mayor (Turco-Levin) can get the job done. What do we have to lose.

If anybody watched the press conference of Matthews indictment one has to wonder how long the Democratic mayor has been asleep at the wheel? 2001? Safety Net and now the Matthews theft of city of kingston funds? Time to wipe the democrats out of city hall. Andi is looking better and better. Has a good head on her shoulder and nothing gets by her scrutiny.
