So, who is responsible for the maintenance of the trees along our Broadway corridor?
Oh, thats right. We have a tree commission don't we?
Im guessing there's no money to do the work needed along our central and downtown business district. Do we need a grant writer?

I only point his out because a few years ago, I was scolded for trimming some of the street tree branches that were my face level without asking permission first.
Do you mind if I just add one more tree to your list and yes we do have a tree Commission and I've been atttending the meetings and it doesn't seem like they are reacting to my request to take down the Henry Street tree. Although the one in front of Mahoney's didn't need to be taken down now it looks worse...

To me the (?) is, why are there so many dead trees along Kingston Streets and all the roads in the area? It is hard to drive two or three blocks without seeing bare branches. When you compare this to postcard pix of Kingston 100 years ago, the contrast is amazing. My house was build of oak harvest from.....around Kingston City Hall around 1907.
I would say that these are all on City property, thus DPW is responsible. But they are back to the old tune that they have limited staff, but lots of riding around all long by a lot of DPW employees.
Most of the dead trees are Ash trees that have been killed by The Emerald Ash Borer (Agrilus planipennis or EAB) is responsible for the destruction of tens of millions of ash trees in 25 states in the Midwest and Northeast.
