A NEW BEGINNING IN KINGSTON

A momentous day for the City of Kingston. The ceremonial swearing in of our elected and appointed proved to be a crowd pleaser. All who attended shared the sense of optimism that comes with a new year coupled with a new administration.

With a new Mayor comes a new Common Council and several new department appointments in City Hall. The theme in Shayne's address continued the urgency and possibility of renewal. Renewal in not just the economic and social aspect of our struggling city but also the way government runs.

Love him or not, we all join in writing this next chapter in Kingston's history. We must shed the negativity, contribute our energy and look for ways to better our city where we can. I hope to continue just as many of you will.

For those who couldn't attend, here are some pictures of Sunday's event.

Another thing you'll be known for is your continual posting of pictures on the blog. Keep up the good work. May you be successful in however you serve in the future.

Why does Aaron continue to get away without paying his taxes. How does Shayne stand on this issue?

Me thinks that Shayne's position on Aaron is he has to pay like everyone else and the consequences for failure to pay will be like anyone else. Just give him a little time to get settled and all will see his position.

Just remember, there was a reason why Aaron supported Hayes in the primary . .

I hope your right on Aaron as I'm hearing different stories. I know he supported Hayes. Aaron sat in the front row on Sunday in a reserved section at the swearing in. What's that tell you?

Aaron sat in the front row at the swearing in because he was chaperoning our congressman and because he arrived early enough to stake his claim to a front row seat.

That simple . . .
