CONGRATS RICKY

Congrats to Ricky Santorum on his primary wins in Alabama and Mississippi. The south may actually rise again. Who knows.

Will Newt get out and provide the path for Ricky to take Romney out at Tampa? Time will only tell.
Meanwhile, None of them are talking about GWBush, the two unnecessary wars, Medicaid Part D, Wall Street prospecting inflated gas prices and that the Stock market is way up & economy is turning around.
C'mon fellas, get to these talking points. You'll be faced with it once either of you is the nominee.

GOP SANDBOX

Whether it's a Democratic, Republican or Independence primary, Closed is the only way to insure that the members of THAT party influence the outcome, thus deciding who best represents the whole.

Democrats across the country argued this point through the 2008 season as the primary season tanked along. Where it was an "open" primary, outside influence was noticeable. Here comes 2012.

Democrats have decided to play in the Republican sandbox. Several states have open primaries so there is potential to have fun with their results like they did four years ago. Unfortunately, like a sand box, there are usually things in the sand not many of us would want to bring home. Enjoy.

ENTITLEMENT SOCIETY

Many of you are tired of the rhetoric we hear daily from the knuckleheads on the campaign trail. As you know, conservative critics of federal social programs are sounding an alarm that the United States is rapidly becoming an entitlement society.
A society in which social programs are undermining the work ethic and creating a large class of Americans who prefer to depend on government benefits rather than work. This isn't the first time you've heard this dribble.

Contrary to the Peter Brimelows of the CPAC world, a new CBPP analysis of budget and Census DATA  shows that more than 90 percent of the benefit dollars that entitlement and other mandatory programs spend go to assist people who are elderly, seriously disabled, or members of working households (not to able-bodied, working-age Americans who choose not to work)  This figure has changed little in the past few years.

In the pie chart above you'll see the grey area at he bottom? That's the boogie-man they talk about at the GOP Rallys. What folks dont realize is that 60-70% of that "wasted" spending goes to Medical bills. Visits to the emergency room.
People without proper healthcare end up getting primary care at the ER when something drastic happens or when something easily preventable gets out of control. I don't have to tell you that the Emergency Room is the most expensive place to get help.

We do this to ourselves people.

McCAIN HAS A PRIMARY CHALLENGER

The former Arizona Congressman turned radio host who intends to challenge Sen. John McCain in this year's Republican primary wants the world to know that he is an unrepentant "Tea Party Birther." The above picture is before his gastric bypass surgery.

In an appearance Tuesday on MSNBC's Hardball, former Rep. J.D. Hayworth repeatedly described Senator McCain as out of touch with Arizona conservatives and took pains to emphasize that he stands to the right of McCain on most issues. "While I think all of us think the world of John McCain ... he's just been in Washington too long," Hayworth insisted. "John is, quite candidly, a moderate."

The above paragraph was published on RawStory.com and followed up what Chris Matthews had asked of Mr Hayworth. Hayworth is part of the crowd that has built a following making wild accusations on his radio show about anyone who doesn't follow his tight regimen of conservatism. Now he's decided to challenge John McCain; the darling of the Republican Party who just barely lost the presidential election of 2008.

Is this what we should expect for all the moderate Republicans in the House and Senate? To answer that question, look no further than Governor Charlie Crist of Florida. This is such an interesting year.

DEMS LINE UP IN 103rd

Yet another Democrat is poised to challenge Molinaro for the 103rd Assembly seat. What has he done or not done, to piss off so many people that crowds of democrats are lining up for the chance to beat him in November?

Laurette Giordino of E Fishkill (pictured left) and Dana Tompkins of Millbrook (lower right) stepped up weeks ago and now we meet Joseph Huff of Union Vale. (upper right)

Why is he running? He said he feels residents in the district have been overlooked and that "I'm running for the Assembly because I want to represent the voice of the people," He believes issues such as property taxes, school taxes and jobs have not been addressed.’

Have we heard this before? Although it may sound like a broken record, the point is made that Molinaro has dropped the ball in Albany as their Assemblyman.

All three challengers are democrats and have different backgrounds in management, but I still put my faith in Laurette. Her go-get-em style and middle class blue collar stripes are as well earned as any of em and I believe the 103rd will be better served with her in Albany.

Stretching from Hudson to E Fishkill, the diverse needs of the district have proven too daunting for Molinaro, (pictured left) he is heckled at Bard College during every visit and is rarely seen at locations south of Red Hook. So the time is right for the district to go blue. Hell, what will the administration do for him as a Bruno puppet anyway?

I urge the bi-county Democratic Committeemen to chose Giordino as your candidate for the 103rd Assembly seat this June.

McCAIN vs CLINTON 2012

Donations being accepted for the Clinton campaign for President in 2012 againt John McCain!

With the few remaining primaries ahead and little chance that Hillary will convince the SDs to award her the nom, Obama is sure to be the Democratic challenger to John McCain.

I suspect, McCain will win this November for the very reason I supported Clinton for the nomination. Obama is not quite ready for prime time.

To the left is a picture of Obama with Rev Wright back in less troubled times. I took down the PhotoShop picture of Obama because it skates to close to racism. Even with my history of Human Rights support, it was too much for some readers. Sorry.

So why is Hillary still in this? To make it quite clear that she will be the nominee in 2012.

I agree with this strategy. "Keep On Keepin On", as they say. Women will look back for years to come and see how far she got, and have a sense of pride. All the negative feelings will fade and like in, "The way we were" we will only remember the happy times. Well thats the plan anyway.

Unless the impossible happens and Obama picks Clinton as VP, this long distance prediction is how I see it.

I only wish I were wrong.
