What teachers around here make $50,000? In my district, they all make close to, and some, in excess of $100,000 I don't make anywhere near that and can't continue to pay their salaries as is

What local districts need to do is look closely at under-performing teachers who are at or near retirement age (making those $100K salaries) and encourage them to retire. Make room for energetic new teachers at a lower cost.
For the record, I am not a teacher, but a mother who understands the value of a good teacher.
